Yesterday we hosted the sold-out Darrell Green Celebrity Golf Classic. All proceeds went to support the Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation of Richmond. Hall of Fame members, Darrell Green and Art Monk were present, as well as a large number of past and current NFL players and several high-profile college coaches and players. The day included a 5 man Captain's choice tourament, dinner, live entertainment, prizes, a silent aucion and a live auction conducted by Darrell, himself. A great time was had by all, and a special thanks to Bob Foster, director of golf at the Club at Viniterra, Pete Johns, managning partner of the New Kent Winery, Joe Dunn of Village Bank, all of the volunteers and sponsors who helped to make the event possible, and of course, Mr. Green!
