Fall Golf is in Full Swing!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist...get it, Full Swing! But seriously, we have had awesome temperatures this late in the golf season. This past Thursday, one of our property owners, Dr. Yorgey and I took advantage of the 80 degree temperatures, and played all 18 holes in 3 hours! I even managed to take a few pictures during our round....Take a look at the pictures or come and visit to see for yourself!!

First Residents Move In!!

This has been an exciting week for us, as our first Viniterra residents have moved in!! Also the Fall has brought a lot of new activity to the community, New Kent Winery and the Golf Course. We have several new houses that will begin construction in November and we have welcomed some new property owners and new golf members, too! Now is a great time to come and visit!!

Field Trip to ET Moore's Facility

Yesterday we took a trip to ET Moore's facility (contractor who is building a model home for us in the Estate section of Viniterra) to see some of the different exotic wood species that are being used to build the home. We saw lots of long-leaf heart pine, old-growth cypress, ipe, Chinese elm (from the Ming Dynasty period) and a western-red ceder that will be featured on the exterior of the model home. ALL of ET Moore's materials are re-claimed, meaning that they were not forested, rather, the different woods are taken out of old houses, buildings and warehouses and then refinished and re-used. This will be one of the "greenest" homes in the state of Virginia. Below are a few pictures of the construction progress..and by the way, the home is for sale. New Kent Winery Introduces New Operations Manager

Laura Garrow has been named operations manager of the New Kent Winery in New Kent County. Garrow, who is a familiar name in the region’s winery and hospitality industry, is responsible for day-to-day operations, special events, marketing and tasting room of the New Kent Winery which is set amid acres of growing vineyards in the New Kent Vineyards residential community.
