Did You Know?? A History Lesson...

Did you know that a historic property, called Iden, sits on 35 acres adjacent to our community? It is one of the oldest homes in Virginia and dates back to the late 1700's. On the acreage, there is the original home, a restored barn, the original "smoke house" and an old schoolhouse that was once the New Kent county one-room school!! Another interesting fact, our very first and most esteemed Barrel Club member, Mr. Chapman Harrison, grew up on the property and attended the school!!
